EXPLORE THE FENNVILLE FRIENDS BOOK STORE
The Fennville Friends bookstore is located in the old "reading room" on the southeast corner of the building, on the main floor. The room is flooded with natural light making it the perfect place for browsing our ever growing collection of materials. Many of our books are brand-new and have hardly been opened. One walk through the room and you will be surprise by the vast quantity of volumes for sale. We continually work to organize the donated books so that you may find the categories and books that interest you the most.
Those categories include adventure, war stories, mysteries, books on the arts; poetry, drama and the visual arts, as well as arts and crafts, gardening, travel, a hefty selection of biographies and sports books. There are also spiritual books, health and wellness, parenting books, books on law, business and finances. How-To titles, cookbooks and fitness books. With this huge collection of fiction and nonfiction we also have music CDs, DVDs, children's books and books in large print. We fill these shelves with your donations. Please drop off your gently-used books with a Library Assistant at the Circulation Desk. The Fennville Friends sort and organized the books and ready them to sell.
All purchases go into a fund to help the Fennville District Library. You will find the hardcover books are .50 cents each, and paperbacks are .25 cents. Friends volunteers are present at the bookstore on Tuesdays from 3 - 5 pm, and Saturdays 11am - 1pm, but the room is always open for browsing. If you find something you would like to purchase you can bring it to the library circulation desk and they will be happy to help you.
The Fennville Friends also host special book sale events a few times a year. Creative gift baskets, book bundles, fill-a-bag, and discounted prices are all part of the fun. Look for book sale announcements here and on our events page.
